Very ambitious project.

The redevelopment was approved for the 21.78-acre parcel at 6600 to 6800 France Avenue to be known as "The Avenue on France." The request was for a 6 phase redevelopment that required a preliminary rezoning to PUD (Planned Unit Development), a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to increase the maximum height, and a preliminary development plan

Luxurious $43 million Life Time club set to open this year at Southdale

Shopping malls and healthy lifestyles aren’t normally two things people associate with each other. But the leaders behind Life Time, Inc.’s luxury health club that will soon open at the Southdale Center in Edina hope their new facility could change opinions.

The more than $43 million, four-story complex is the largest club investment the Chanhassen-based health and wellness company has made in the Twin Cities and the first of its kind in the country which combines Life Time’s co-working, fitness, spa and soccer facilities under one roof.

In another phase of this development is a highrise residential unit.

If I'm not mistaken that is pretty much done. Lots of density in the area (for the burbs), and the biggest battle will be making the area somewhat walkable.

Nice updates. The new Minneapolis building is really going to accent that plaza at the Government Center really nice. It is one of the better looking buildings currently being built.

That's pretty cool. That whole area is going through such a transformation. Still very car oriented but I'm glad that there's hope for live, work and play type developments.

Looks like the Rivercenter parking ramp in St. Paul has some interest in the RFP. New hotel and a 25 story residential tower which would tie in nice with the 4 tower proposal at the adjacent old West Publishing site. Will transform the river side tremendously.

St. Paul leaders won’t lack for options as they plan for the future of the aging RiverCentre parking ramp across Kellogg Boulevard from Xcel Energy Center
