Seriously. Some of these sentences are horrible. The whole thing rambles and has so many run on sentences.

I'm glad you picked up on this, too; I had rough drafts of middle school papers that were tighter than this.

"the poverty rate in Philadelphia is 25% compared with that of 17% in Philadelphia"

Even our inequity is inequitable.

Forbes has editors?

It has apparently been quietly edited. I don't see any of the things mentioned. Someone took an axe to it. I don't like that they're just 1984ing articles now without so much as a mention that there's been an edit.

It's only 1984'ing it if the government changes the story. Forbes can make whatever changes they want to their own publication.

They can do whatever they want, but it's bad form to change without even so much as a footnote that edits were made.

That actually made me laugh. Well done.

It's really great that Forbes, one of the most trusted publications in the world, gave us a mostly positive write up. Still, better grammar would have been nice.

Brandywine to start Schuylkill Yards work next week with groundbreaking for park

Quote:
Brandywine Realty Trust plans to begin work next week on the Drexel Square public plaza, the first project in its massive Schuylkill Yards development project near 30th Street Station.

Work on the 1.3-acre landscaped park at 30th and Market Streets, between the train station and the former Bulletin newspaper building, will start Nov. 9, Brandywine chief executive Jerry Sweeney said during a presentation Wednesday in Center City.

Brandywine has said it also plans to redevelop the former Bulletin building, now known as One Drexel Plaza, during an early phase of the $3.5 billion Schuylkill Yards plan, which is slated to eventually involve 8 million square feet of office space over 14 acres.

The city's pitch to Amazon for Schuylkill Yards as their new headquarters included the Bulletin building for Amazon's initial need for 500,000 square feet of office space (along with the Cira Center). Doesn't that mean Brandywine has to start working on that pretty soon in case it gets picked?

I didn't check to see if this was already posted, but Brandywine has top HQ2 sites in both Philly and Austin. This is their 100 page proposal to Amazon to choose either Schuylkill Yards or Broadmoor in Austin:

Oh. That's big. Austin and Philly are both top contenders. This not only gives us a boost, but also one of our biggest competitors a boost.

Amazon Plan new Corporate office in Vancouver

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-am...KBN1D328P?il=0

Could we assume that other Canadian cities would be out of the HQ2 race?
