I have never understood why everyone likes this building so much, to me it is just meh. What makes it special for you?

Aside from the slants and glass, I especially like its location. All the best new highrises have been along the river or Congress Avenue. I always thought we need to get some good height further north wherever possible / allowed. Also, it will be a quality tower in the mix of the tallest cluster downtown if all the projects come to fruition. And, there's not another highrise downtown quite like it. Different is almost always better. Its one of my favorite towers for those reasons, and an unforeseen new reason, I love the way it sets off the One American Center when viewed from the east. It always looked (from I35), that OAC was pretty much the western edge of central downtown. The offers more dimension with a shiny new tower.

If one was to see the building right now and did not know the final height. They might assume it to be half way up. Like the Colorado tower iat looks like the top has been chopped off. This makes it look shorter than it really is.

Despite having a pretty much uniform look top to bottom with respect to the facade, I think I'm going to have to reserve judgment on this one until it's done. I think it'll really be the crown that either makes it or breaks it for me. It isn't really the type of building I typically like, but it's not bad. I think one thing this building has going for it is that it does stand out in the pack. Several others just kind of mesh together and don't stand out - the W, 500 West 2nd, Colorado Tower and 300 Colorado. The color of this one is different, and it has angles and a roof design that no other building downtown has.

Almost all of the balconies on the W are filled with a ton of stuff. I think I even saw some rubber rafts. Those are some big balconies that are absolutely getting used.

Couple of good views of Parsley . . . though still as underwhelming as ever.

I'm amazed at how quickly it fades into the background on even these amazing shots. Obviously that's the blue glass, but it's also the design mediocrity. It's just so unremarkable. Don't get me wrong -- I'm happy to have a 300 footer, and it could've been much worse. And you can't always get what you want, yadda yadda. But still -- I guarantee none of you will be dreaming naughty dreams about 300 Colorado after you close this tab.

The location is good, but I find the design a tad underwhelming. The building’s angles are a nice respite from our blocky buildings. However, I think at the end of the day, it is a slightly fancy blue glass rectangle. I can truly appreciate the interaction with the Claudia Taylor Johnson Hall. I wish we had more of that type of adaptive reuse in downtown.

I am loving this tower more and more as it continues to go up. It really extends the vertical height of downtown further north. I can't wait until the crown is done!

They have started on the crown framing. Sorry... took the picture through a dirty windshield.

Wow, that adds more height than I was expecting.

Yeah, I saw it the other day. That's a good jump in height above the roof. I'm not sure what the height is, but I'd guess maybe 60 feet.
