HDR said Thursday it would scrap plans to build its global headquarters in downtown Omaha. The architecture and engineering firm said it would seek a site elsewhere in the city.
The previously planned location was at 1100 Dodge St. HDR officials declined to talk Thursday about their second choice for a global headquarters, other than to say it would be in Omaha.
Mayor Jean Stothert said in a statement that HDR and Omaha Performing Arts couldn't come to an agreement for HDR to purchase the downtown land that OPA owns and HDR had wanted for its headquarters. OPA operates the Holland Center.
