It is looking more like Chinese construction everyday!

^ The right part of the building definitely looks like buildings I saw going up in some cities in China. The left 2? Not so much..

Pretty much every visible building to the right/east of the "Love Illinois" building in that orange sunset photo is residential, so that gives you a good idea of how Vista might be lit once completed.

I was under the impression that they have made a big effort to get very specific gradient glass. It would make sense as its Studio Gang and Aqua also has multiple gradients, but not as dramatically.

I thought they had a European supplier for the glass that can achieve this with very good repeat-ability.

So not artistic license.

Looks like the external supporting wall on the tallest tower is at the end. Hopefully this is indeed the case

Just counted the number of floors completed from Stockerzzz's great photo of Vista and it appears (correction may be needed), that 70 of the 98 floors have been built. This leaves 28 floors to go approximately. Adding an additional 28 floors to the latest photo of this building brings the height to approximately the location of the top of the crane from Stockerzzz's picture from 9/1. This building is going to be an incredible addition to Chicago's skyline!

I also think that giving the units in the shorter stack (less sexy than the higher floors) a more open view of the lake, river, etc. might make them more marketable.

With a new glass manufacturer in place how long is it going to take for the new cladding to arrive?

This will set back all the other contractors doing interior work, which in turn will push occupancies back, which usually results in lawsuits. I kind of think it looks neat as an exoskeleton but nearing completion without glazing is a bit of an embarrassment.

That color green looks pretty. I did not realize they had removed most of the old glass floor edges already. That was on a lot of the lower part of the building.

^^ I'm happy the glass seems to have retained a greenish hue.

Earlier today from the lakefront around Fullerton:

Top notch photos everyone.......been by there enough and although the exposed concrete at this height is a cool looking novelty, I'm so looking forward to the glass now....

Now that's a unique view! Really love how the St. Jane Building's golden top looks there

Could be a test but that does look like new glass, so maybe they finally got it right.

Pretty sure that's the same glass that was installed in March or April
