This building has a bigger footprint that I expected from the drawings. It seems different in the real world.

The parkade needs to go down about 30 ft, there will be a steady hauling of dirt and concrete out of there.

Tower crane is April???

Some minor concrete work should be starting soon.

I don't think the whole footprint is tower. Part of it (closer to Hill Tower III), I believe will just be street level retail.

There's to be a crane in there by the end of March.

General procedure musings/questions:
So they are digging away at ag place. The only thing being dumped into trucks when I walk by is concrete chunks from the old foundations although the track hos are getting deeper. At what point do they do the shoring with the I beams etc. They can't do a three level parkade without shoring I would assume?, but the available flat space from which to dig the shoring holes is getting smaller by the day. Also, will they be linking the two parkades together underground? Only having to do one set of up/down ramps would maximize space available for parking - how far down does the existing FCC underground parkade go?

Shoring equipment is arriving on site now. There are components for a big mobile crane/auger/pile driver.

I believe they are linking to the existing FCC parkade which is 2 levels.

Yes they assembled 2 shoring rigs, they drill holes, lift the beams into the hole and can also pile drive.

Those piles are quite large and deep, I think they are able to complete maybe one bell pile per day on average. I think there are 70+ in total if I remember correctly from the drawings.

Here's a link with a few more renderings of what the shops will look like. The Greenspot is going to have a huge presence, which is great!

^I'm thinking that building the four shops between Agriculture Place and Tower III as three stories with apartment condominiums above would have been a nice addition to this development. Overall I have to say I'm pretty happy with the concept and hopefully the rents can be in line with what the businesses were paying before. It's really a street that has an opportunity to showcase Regina and hopefully be a building block to bringing back some street retail downtown.

I could see some national retailers locating in this development. Maybe a new Rexall Drug store or Restaurant. Looks fantastic!

I noticed the lounging area on the north end under the pedway. That will be nice for Green Spot patrons.
