What happens first, stadium complete, or a shovel in the ground at Capital Pointe?

Serious question.

Tough one. I think Capital Pointe will pretend to excavate first so shovels in the ground for Capital Pointe for me, but it won't be above ground before the stadium is finished.

I think there will be a gravel parking lot and a billboard (probably one of those fancy LED ones) on the Capital Pointe site before the stadium is finished.

I'll go against the grain in this poll and say someone will be at the site with a shovel before the stadium is complete. 2 years is a long time...

What if I went back to Regina and started digging a bit at CP?

Capital Pointe. (However, the stadium will be completed first.)

Well, almost a year after I started this thread. Anyone care to weigh in on this topic now? I'm firmly in the stadium complete first camp.

Yeah.... I'm not sure what constitutes "shovel in ground" and what comprises "stadium complete" - but I would also go with the stadium.

Question: Which stadium are you referring to? The one that will replace New Mosaic Stadium ...in like 75 years time?
If so, I will vote for Mosaic III

Just kidding of course. I would be happy to see Capital Pointe get built.

^We'd all be happy if it got built, but I'm having my doubts they are even going to pretend to dig at this point.

I'd say it's pretty unlikely. No one is investing any new money, and the current owners/builders are clearly not moving forward and just keep making up reasons for delays. They keep saying that work will start when a new permit is approved...but then they don't even apply for new permits.

Do you have any reason to think CP is going forward?

Nope. Just trolling him for acting pompous.

Considering they aren't even answering their Twitter account to provide "updates" anymore...it's not looking too good.
