G.Man during excavation of the Juliet there was a ramp that they brought the excavators down to do the digging. When it rained a lot in the spring the ramp gave way and created a mud slide & they almost rolled one of the large excavators down the hill. They also buried some of the intitial form works too.
Talking about excavators on that site, a contractor had in operation there a month ago and the seal broke on the oil filter. It was smoking so bad you couldn't even see the buildings next door. My friend Frank who is the labour foreman for Farmer told the guy to shut it down but he refused since his contract was buy the working hour. He continued to use the machine for over an hour until the new filter arrived. Anyways so many people walked up to the Juliet Show suite and made a complaint to David Chard. Dave actually had to walk down and see what was going on, he also wrote a very strong letter to Farmer. I know David Chard is trying to keep a good face and a good reputation with the City of Victoria and this was the last thing he needs...so I know why he would be upset. Frank said he had never seen anything like it people were yelling and screaming at them out windows and from the sidewalk. Crazy
