Regina | Agriculture Place | 48.15M | 11F | Completed

Agriculture Place, developed by Harvard Developments Inc., the 10 storey building is comprised of 160,000 square feet and will contain three levels of underground parking. At present, 48,000 square feet of office space and 10,000 square feet of retail space is available for lease. Contributing to the vibrancy of downtown Regina, Agriculture Place will be home to the locally coveted Green Spot Café and will also bring new retailers to Hamilton Street.

I'm excited for this to be started. Demo should be soon. Shoring complete in March and concrete starting after that is what I have heard.

If they can maintain the street/retail presence, this will be a huge addition to downtown.

Interior demo has started - they're dismantling the large staircase in the "podium" (south portion of existing structure).

As we've seen from planning documents, the podium structure will remain in the new building, but the interior will be completely gutted to blend seamlessly with the new structure being build on/around it.

...and part of street front of existing podium is to be converted to retail.

Notice what happens to your building when you put "Go TiCats" in the window?

The webcam has a delay as noted below. I can report that the entire first building is gone. That was the Green Spot and Hall & Rae
This pic was taken this morning.

So is the foundation for his tower already there? They just need to build up now?

Just the part attached to FCC. The whole rest of the block will be excavated to allow three levels of underground parking.

The foundation still needs to be extended southward. Ag Place will be just as wide as FCC.

Are there any statistics on how many office workers work in downtown Regina? I would imagine it is a pretty impressive amount for the population of the city. 20 000 I would guess? This building will probably add another 100 or so..

A study for the City said:

approximately 29,300 office workers are estimated in Regina in 2011. By 2020, this
figure will increase to nearly 33,000 workers. Per year,
this rate of growth translates into +/- 400 new office
workers per year.

The large majority of these are downtown

That means a lot more office towers for downtown. Regina's skyline is sure going to look different over the next 10 years.

Is this a PCL job? Or is Waste Management now renting green & gold hoarding panels?
