Holy f'ing WOW! My God, mon. That's frigging the highest of class, right there. The bar has been catapulted. I'm seriously blown away. Nobody can touch this. Epic.

On a side note this tid bit from the article stood out for me: "Luxury essentials like the spa, gym, and golf simulator are on the second floor."

There may be more expensive condos in newer buildings in the city, but this is the most preeminent building to live in in Chicago now. Just breathtaking.

With respect to your opinion, I have to disagree with you. Modern is most definitely warranted in this case. The building itself needs no additional commentary or faux accents to it's undeniable classic-ness. The contrast of modern to classic is outstanding. Hell, the fact that they are leaving the Tribune signature logo out side those windows with it's classy-as-all-hell typeface/font is smh awesome. And the black and white of that interior with those windows...forgetaboutit! This is a Tim Burton Batman movie set with a bow on it.

Yes yes, great job by the developers putting in the flying buttresses and the gothic stone window framing, they clearly spared no expense.

Fair points. I still disagree with some of them. To me the interior should reflect the exterior and represent the history, not sterilize it to something new. But oh well it's done anyway.

No, I believe Flaccer was just posting an update of of the current enovation/conversion progress of the Tribune building to condos. I don't think there has been any word or recent news on the larger tower. Though someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong
