It's a transfer station for the CTA, but you'd think the neighborhood would be much busier, pedestrian wise.
Yeah, because Roosevelt is basically a bridge for .5 miles west of the intersection. There are many other places to walk to within this area though.

What is crazy walkable? How many areas in LA are "crazy walkable" compared to this one sleepy area? You might be judging it based on more central or northern areas of Chicago, fine. But I am comparing it to LA.

Or when they post a typical big city street scene of a busy intersection and act like it's something that you'll never find in LA.
I did neither of those things. Read my last post.

I think there are areas in la have more pedestrians then the South loop (south of van Buren) .
I don't want to get into those Comparisons, just thought you picked a weird Chicago area for walkability. Dearborn park sucks the life out of that area too and it's probably more car oriented than you think.

Because it was discussing la and you showed a pic 3,000 miles away.
It's like saying something about Brooklyn and showing a pick of Oakland. Idk.

I didn't realize so many Angelenos were so delusional these days.

First off, your bio suggests you live in Woodland Hills (LA County). I lived there way back when, and am VERY familiar with its super-wide intersections, all over the place.

And if we're talking about LA city proper, there's this gem of an intersection:

https://goo.gl/maps/VTyNA94zATXxgN9R9

with which I (and millions of other Angelenos) are very familiar. For those who aren't I suggest you spin it 360 degrees to get a real feel for just how pedestrian-friendly this area of LA city proper is. Funny how closely it resembles the exact same intersection that jtown, man posted.

"crazy walkable", much?

Who in the hell called that area of west la crazy walkable?
Off your meds again?

That part of Santa Monica Blvd was supposed to become a freeway,
And not one person calls it walkable, ever.

Is this https://goo.gl/maps/7QVfMAVKX46mqaKx6 "very walkable" to you? I ask because I see the elements that meet your criteria (sidewalks and crosswalks).

I can't think of anything remotely close to this anywhere in the NYC vicinity, short of Westchester County.

You do realize that's where the wetlands are, right?
Lmao..you're ridiculous. If you go 1-2 blocks east, you're in the playa Vista area, which is walkable.

When did he say crazy walkable? When did he say West la on santa Monica Blvd?
Do you not even realize what you're quoting ?
Probably not, you're confused most of the time.

Your opinions on walkability died when you showed us one block of a Houston Street and tried to sell it as amazing.

I DARE someone to suggest that the intersection of Santa Monica Blvd. and Westwood Blvd. is remotely close to "the burbs".

They neighborhood density we meant, not the number of lanes, genius.
In your pic,
There's several 5-6 story condo and apt buildings close by, along with several office towers.

Duh.
And if you go up Westwood Blvd, you'll see 1-2 story retail building's facing the street, all the way to ucla.
Little Tehran looks more pedestrian friendly than those Houston areas you posted
..

Yes. Many do, for that matter, which is embarrassing for a city the size of L.A.

And for the record, the intersection of Wilshire and San Vicente (in Beverly Hills) is far from a "totally random intersection".

Who said west la was crazy walkable?
When all else fails, lie.

I never said or hinted at the other pics crosswalks. I always meant the area.

Westchester county , the county right next to the Bronx lol. And most of new jersey suburbs are pretty damn auto oriented.

Me: posts link to an extremely auto-oriented, non-pedestrian-friendly / unwalkable intersection in the heart of L.A.

LA21st: mentions "New Jersey suburbs".

Reaching, much?

Ugh. You're so confused about anything.
I posted your quote to boot. What is your deal?

I mentioned nj suburbs
Cause you said outside of Westchester county,
Nowhere in NYC metro has something like Lincoln Blvd .

Is new jersey not part of the NYC vicinity ?
