A place where you can like your city, but be self deprecating about it too.

^complexe Guy Favreau in Montreal looks the same.

imtl

Right across the street from the equally soul-sucking Place Desjardins.

tce.
A competition between the Nation (Quebec) and the country (Canada) for the most soul-sucking building complex in Montreal.

IMO Favreau is worse. Desjardins at least has a couple of cool stores.

Have a look around..Donald Street plaza..Hidden in this gem's parking lot is a Tim Hortons. Cars will be hanging out there for hours on end as the weather gets warmer..It's okay, if your monopoly piece lands on it, you can afford the rent without even breaking a sweat.

I like to think of Stevanford1 and MolsonExport as long lost brothers who were separated at birth and have finally found each other.

I don't know. The greenery makes it somewhat pleasing, to be honest.

Maybe we are the deWooters, which may be badly needed in a forum that is populated by a lot of Woot-wooters (extreme homerism: some sort of over-the-top narcissistic pride that somehow metastasized from a skyline/city to a person). I like being able to poke fun at places that I live in or that I have visited. My undying love for Montreal does not preclude me from calling out the Residence Soleil (Clockzilla) as a massively ugly turd of a building. I heap plenty of praise where it is warranted too, but some people on SSP have Donald-thin skin if you dare question some population statistic or point out that some aspect of their skyline or urban fabric is less than perfect.

. Yes I agree about the people who get their panties into a twist every time you so much as look at their city in a negative context. I am a Torontonian and yes I love my city, but that doesn't mean that Bloor Dundas Square and New York Towers aren't brutal!

Based on the renderings so far, I think I'd prefer the current look and just refurbish it a bit.
