I thought it was the couple of very vocal farmers that have property close to where the floodway re-joins the Red River north of the city?

Either way, the city or province should just expropriate these problem areas and be done with it.

-More new residential construction downtown. Maybe a few mid to high rise proposals.
Get the ball rolling and the rest will follow.

1) The National Typewriter sign is removed from the building on Portage @ Sherbrook... It may cause someone to be interested in leasing it.

2) The old street-level signage is removed from the Avenue Building...including the cigarette smoking logo thingie coloured sign. Same result as above.

3) The water park is built in St. Boniface instead of Winnipeg.

4) Construction begins on Phase I of the Wilson subway.
