[SA] Costco, Lowes, others to anchor 1.2 Million Square Foot Potranco Market

Potranco Market will be located at Potranco Road and 1604. Costco declined to build at 900,000 square foot Alamo Marketplace (U/C) at Culebra and 1604 because of the site plan didn't conform to what Costco is used to so it seems they hopped down 1604 to Potranco. Grand opening is planned for the fall of 2009.

Potranco Market site plan

Four miles to the west of Potranco Market will be the 1.2 million square foot Stevens Ranch Town Center.

Sprawl is everywhere, but I do agree that SA gets a lot of these large strip centers (compared to the core). I really hope River North starts shaping up to offset those large suburban strip centers going up in SA (that are like one million square feet, full of big box stores like Walmart, Costco, etc.).

Word. Go check out the Canadian threads. Few people have cars up there, but when they do they're sweet old masterpieces.

This isn't the Stevens Ranch Town Center thread.

And no.

Oh hell yes! I can't wait to see what else is going up in that shopping center. I just moved to that area and am loving all the new shopping centers and medical facilities opening up.
