Has anyone seen or does anyone know the exact height of the now-being-excavated Landmark 7 Tower? The say 23 stories and taller than Tower 6 but no other information seems to be provided.

I'd say more. What other cranes are up in Edmonton right now? They took Stantec Tower and 124 St development down, so the only one I can think of is 95 St development. Not sure if Augustana and Fox have theirs up.

Good to see Kelowna booming, now if only Westcorp could get on with their hotel.

Given the other Landmark towers are an average of about 4.5 metres per floor, I'm going to say the new tower will be 100-105m in height at 23 stories. Very similar design to Landmark 6. It would have been the tallest in the city but it looks like the 36 story ONE water street will be completed first and is expected to be 119m.

The current count in Edmonton is 9 (the record was 26 in 2015) but there are a couple more coming online soon. Here is the current list as of end of March:

1. Telus Toll Building [reno] (102 Ave/100 St)
2. Encore Tower [43] (102 Ave/103 St)
3. Corner 1 Towers [24] (102 Ave/95 St)
4. One Twenty One West Condos [6 & 8] (105 Ave/121 St)
5. Gold Bar Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion (109 Ave/50 St)
6. The Augustana [30] (99 Ave/107 St)
7. Brighton Block [6] (Jasper Ave/96 St)
8. Lux Condos [5] (1316 Windermere Way SW)
9. Capital [6 & reno] (100 Ave/108 St)

^ I see that list includes the imaginary crane at Brighton Block

I don't think there is a crane out at Golbar anymore either.

They're almost topped out at Corner 1, so that'll be down in a few months

So yeah Kelowna could potentially have more than Edmonton shortly

It was a cut and paste from C2E. So, you are correct on Brighton. Ha.

There seems to be work being done in Bernard Ave for their showhome. I wish the project was more sensitive to the views that will be lost from the street level though.

Even more impressive is that there are more towers under construction in Kelowna than in Edmonton. Granted Edmonton is winding down from a fairly brisk construction boom, but looks like Kelowna is just ramping up

It may be all the surrounding towers in my way but I cannot see a single crane from where I am on the 15th floor of Stantec Tower.

True. Comes in waves. I think the high was 25 or 26 cranes in Edmonton in 2015.

Cranes in Kelowna right now:

1. Ella
2. Ellis Parc
3. One Water Street West
4. One Water Street East
5. Central Green?

Central Green has one disassembled on the ground for the last few weeks, not sure if there is still one in the air?

The crane at the Shore was removed in early March?
Is there a crane on site at The Beverly/Hyatt Hotel?

There are multiple mobile cranes on sites around town also.

2019:
Brooklyn (next couple of months)
Landmark (next couple of months)
Westcorp (????)

Central Green is nearing completion, so I think they'll move that out any day now. Still disappointing that they've kept such a high profile site to 5-storey complexes only.

Theres also another crane up next to the airport for another 7-storey hotel, right beside the existing Four Points

Central Green

Central Green still has room for 2 more buildings on Harvey. The original concept called for 3 towers. Mission shifted its proposal which gave us the cluster of units currently on site and under construction. City council rejected the 5 storey units along Harvey saying they were disappointed the height was removed from the project and sent Mission back to the drawing table.

With that said, I would assume they are playing a waiting game. If phase 2 of Brooklyn sells out quickly as well as Westcorp (if they ever do start selling), along with the other proposals currently in stream, Mission may redraft the open property to give council the height they wanted. I would think we are years away from that point.

It’s going to be a Hampton Inn I believe. A proposed Sandman hotel further north in the business park got the thumbs down from City Council.

Just walked passed Ella today and noticed they are starting to install the windows. The building is going up so fast!

It's incredible how fast its rising, must be on the eleventh floor already including the five parade/podium floors. Can't wait to see One Water Street rise once they finish the bench.

If Brooklyn moves as fast it should be a few floors high by the end of the summer.

I honestly hope so! But I think they may have scrapped the tower plans altogether. I found a Vancouver Sun article that says the 5-storey "Urbana" building was the final phase.

Theres also a rendering featured on this Daily Courier article (linked below) that shows a public plaza along Harvey Ave instead of the initially proposed towers. This image is a perspective from the Richter/Harvey intersection.
Not sure if designs have since been revised...

Brooklyn seems to be getting started quite quickly, and will be an exciting one to watch.
And Ella is supposed to top out in May, which is coming up quickly!
Mission Group posted a cool photo of Brooklyn and Ella together in one shot on Instagram, go check it out!
