why is that im able to access ssc from my work pc but ssc doesn't load from my home pc? my internet connection at home is fine and ssc shud be working for me right now but i cant access it!

@Grumpy: happened to me repeatedly following the previous downtime of SCity. Very annoying. But don't get angy, just keep at it!

be sure that you have removed IPs from hosts file. IPs seems changed.

Yes but this downtime was supposed to be so that SSC can work faster. It is working but shitter than ever

I can't get it to work with Mozilla, and it literally takes 5 minutes to load a page on IE (or website's not responding). Where the hell did they get this new server?

I am still having problems with SSC login, when I enter user and pass, I get the next message:

aragron, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I'm not banned, and I can't register another account to ask a moderator because the activation mail never arrives to me

Does anybody have the same problem or can help me?

So was there a hardware upgrade? It does actually work but if it's going to be so slow the upgrade didn't make much diference

Whoa, I just managed to log in via Mozilla. And for about 2 minutes the speed was back to normal...

Actually, from what I understand of the convos with mods and admins is what was supposed to happen was:

Copying the forum to the new server, plug it in and roll on.

But the host fucked up and copied both the forum and the forum database to the new server.

I get an error message everytime I try to load the page. Last time it was down, I remember I had to change something in a notepad file. I can't remember what it was, but I think it had to do with IP addresses.

Anyway, does anyone know what I mean? Could that be the problem? If so, how the hell do I fix it?

I hate computers.

Nah, I removed that new IP # from my hosts file, so it doesn't have anything to do with that.
