Do we know if they’re still planning on building apartment complexes in the vacant lot?

Still seems to be the plan. The city approved it a month or so ago.

Apparently the manager of the Kelseys in Moncton confirmed to someone that they got a franchise owner for a location in Saint John. So Kelseys might be coming soon!
I wonder where they will be located? Maybe somewhere in East Point Shopping Centre or something.

Paderno will be closing all its remaining factory stores around the beginning November, liquidation of stock will begin in about 2 weeks time (Oct.15th).

Info from HalifaxReTales: https://www.facebook.com/HalifaxReTa...27359980623847

This means the Saint John and Moncton stores will be closing. Hopefully these spots don't sit empty long, once they close.

On The Vine Meat & Produce will close on Oct.6th. And will re-open a week later in their new larger store, (located directly behind their current store at 1350 Hickey Road).

So I just found out that Furniture Warehouse is moving! I wonder where they are re-locating to?

Apparently it's because their current building was sold! Most likely Saint John Hyundai bought the building so they can expand. They are currently renovating their current showroom and adding in a drive thru service. And long ago they tried to buy the land Furniture Warehouse is on, so they can build car detailing / wash bays. So maybe they finally bought the building so they can add in these new services?

Yeah.....though I think that the reason it's coming along like it is is that winter is coming, and McAllister Place probably wants that whole section totally closed in before the 1st real snow hits.

And as I speculated in that FB page, I think that whole section will be fully operational by April 2020. I'm happy that MP isn't wasting their time with that, and knocking this out at this pace. =)

Oh, and in another subject, it looks like fencing is finally around the whole former Fundy Line property. I'm hoping that whatever is happening there(I think full demolition) is kept up on here in this thread.

=P

Drove down Somerset again today and can finally update on the former corner store I've been asking about diagonally across from Somerset Square. Signage is now up and it's a brick & mortar for Greenfoot Energy Solutions. Parking lot completely re-curbed and re-paved, and the building has been re-done. Nice improvement over the eyesore abandoned store it was previously.

On The Vine Meat & Produce posted a picture of their new store, earlier today on Facebook. It looks great! Can't wait to check it out when it opens.
They are scheduled to re-open on Monday, Oct.14th (Thanksgiving day).

Indigo (located at East Point Shopping Centre) has repainted their entire exterior to a completely different colour. All of the blue is now black. It looks so different now.
I imagine it's to better fit their new colour scheme/logo. (Black and White).

Kurves Brow Bar just posted a job listing again.

(A while back, they posted a listing, but it disappeared. So it looks like they must of not found anyone and is trying again. Hopefully they can find someone because this will be a great addition to McAllister Place).
