OK, how is this not on here? The Humboldt Forum opened last week in Berlin, encompassing the collections of the Ethnographic Museum of Berlin and the Museum of Asian Art. At a cost of $824 million it is one of Berlin's biggest projects. Nice restoration you say? Nope, it is a complete reconstruction of much of the facade of the old Imperial Palace of the Hohenzollerns, the Berliner Schloss, demolished by the East German Communists in 1950!
