You're so right! It's absolutely stunning. You seem to know a lot about this project; will there be retail under the tower? Perhaps it could be an optician?

Its a really nice building and will be a great part of the build-out of Gilmore Place development. I wonder though with the low vacancy rates for office space if this might get fast-tracked to help to add capacity to the Metro Vancouver Office Inventory?

To be honest I can’t tell if GilmoreStation is the most inept troll / shrill in the world suppprting / selling Gilmore Station, since he seems to have turned this forum against it despite being the tallest tower to move forward in BC, or if he is the most brilliant troll ever who is actually invested with Amazing Brentwood and is intentionally trying to sour people on Gilmore Station.

I'm shocked at the size of that office tower. By sq foot I think this is by far the largest office tower in Metro Vancouver, not counting The Post, which is more like 4 towers.

If the City of Burnaby approves a reworked land use policy tomorrow, that 700 000 sq feet of office space will mean the the developer can add 700 000 sq feet of rental units to the development, assuming they can resubmit an application if they have to.

This certainly dwarfs Solo District’s office spaces

I'm not much of a 'size queen' if that's all it's got going for it. Are there any tenants lined up? Is it a purely spec. build and strata offices? If so I hope that's not the glass they use as it's gonna look fugly seeing everything so visibly inconsistent inside. Quite a basic looking design too.

You're right - if this is 700,000 sq. ft. in one tower, only The Post will be bigger (that's over 1 million sq. ft. in two towers). The Stack on Melville is 620,000 sq. ft. on 36 floors; 1090 W Pender has 564,349 sq. ft. on 31 floors. Bentall 4 and Bentall V were both around 600,000 sq. ft.

We'll have to see what the project actually looks like when details emerge - the 700,000 sq. ft. could be the total commercial including the three storey commercial podium, which would make the office tower floorspace smaller. That also might not be the actual design. It doesn't look like that illustration has 37 storeys.

That's the rendering we've seen before, so it may be different now.

Good to see it going ahead and at that height.
I think the tallest office blocks downtown are only 36 storeys (ie Scotia Tower).
Mind you, ceiling heights seem to be shorter for more modern office towers if they don't have drop ceilings.

The Stack will also be 36 floors and is 161 meters.

I do hope that the design has been refined, that is a pretty basic looking office tower.

Not offensive, but very basic.

The office tower may be key in attracting retail tenants.
