The webcam doesn't do that pit justice. It's fucking massive in person.

There was very little work done on the site today and none at 1105. Hopefully it's just a slight revision of work schedule rather than a total halt in construction due to the virus.

Unbelievable what Midtown has become since I moved here in 93. It blows my mind.

Incredible photo! It also nicely documents the historical Sahara Dust that has swept into Atlanta, never before seen to such an extent in our lifetimes.

That was my first thought when I saw the photo - how much that view has changed just in the time I"ve been here.

I saw a bulldozer on the phase 2 site today. Could it be starting sooner than we think?

I saw it in front of the shorter building building where phase 2 is planned. You wouldn't be able to see it in that picture.

Does anyone have a rendering or site plan of phase 2?

There's no rendering of phase 2.

When exiting the Connector at 17th street, you can see what's on the other side of the shorter brownish building: a storage site for Midtown Union construction materials and such.
Definitely NOT Phase 2.

I think we can all agree that Midtown has reached critical mass.

Yup Midtown’s going to be the gift that keeps on giving to itself and adjacent neighborhoods. If the BeltLine didn’t exist, Midtown would likely be even more built out. I think it’s great we’re gaining more commercial and populous areas throughout the city, though.

I’m excited for Midtown Union to start growing in height.
