Total number of tower cranes in Nashville: 7
Total number of tower cranes in 2 months: 12, all within 3sq miles

We are mini-Dubai...
Seven cranes sounds like a pretty conservative figure. There's probably 3 or 4 in the Gulch alone and I've seen a few in the Belle Meade area from which I'm not far.

Back to Pinnacle, I'm going to try to get around town tomorrow and take some pictures of construction. I'll definitely get some shots of this site.

Nice looking lobby. This is going to be one sweet project. I'm guessing the height variance signs were for the project at its current 435 Ft height. My memory serves me that variances were granted for this project. The tallest SoBro project before this one was the Encore, roughly half this height. Still, I'd love to see this grow about ten more floors. If it were up to me the tower would look more this, about 10 more floors and about 570 Ft.

The new website is active along with a pdf brochure with larger renderings and floor plans. This is going to be a beautiful addition to Nashville. I read elsewhere that the actual height will be more around 465 feet.

Moving right along too...

progress.

I spoke with one of the contractors regarding the height variance requests with Pinnacle that are posted on the gates, and I am not saying this is reliable information, however he said the new height is 465' instead of 435'. So Hankster, it's getting closer to 500'+...

I can always spot a Pickard Chilton when I see one.

A very nice looking building and a great location for it.

Whoa, how did I miss this? Decent looking tower. Sort of reminds me of the Frost Bank Tower.

Are those three extra floors inside the building, or are they at the top of the building in a mechanical penthouse? Do you know?

The building is now even, or just slightly above street level already, and it should complete garage construction by mid to late April at current rates, with actual tower section right after. This is the PREMIERE development in Metro Nashville right now.

The building is now closing in on 2 stories above ground, yet is still part of the total garage. It is a 10 floor garage, with 3 or 4 below grade, then 19 floors of premium office space. This will be the high bar to pass when it comes to a building in Nashville, whether it be office or residential, it is at the top of the Nashville designs. Now we'll have 2 signature buildings, this one and AT&T Tower.

To get an idea of what the facade will look like, watch Chicago's 300 N. La Salle building, another Pickard Chilton building, only almost 300 feet taller.

This is by far my favorite building in Nashville currently! I love the bulk and design of it.

I was downtown a few nights ago walking around and went by this one and I really really like it a lot. Wish it was about 100-250 ft higher too as I'm really tired of ATT bldg being tallest. I never much cared for it and always thought it a little overrated. Not that I totally hate it, but it never grew on me like it did a lot of people. I also think a building like Pinnacle would look good in my hometown of Louisville.

This project will be the first of probably many that Barry Real Estate will do here. I know they have a good track record in Atlanta, especially Allen Plaza, their current mega project in downtown. They always have tasteful towers, and are usually paired with Pickard Chilton architecture, together, an excellent combination for Nashville. It'd be nice for them to build a huge project on the old ballpark site a block to the SE of the tower. Its about 3 floors away from garage completion, and then the tower will rise, woo hoo!

The webcam that many have wondered if it would happen has been put up by OxBlue. It appears to be either atop Fifth Third Financial Center or Viridian Towers.

That's Encore and it's indeed a Novare building. It's one of their recent projects here along with the Viridian.
