Nice! As someone who lives in Southern California, if someone were to ask me what I think of when mentioning Winnipeg, I would easily say 'brutally cold'. However, I've seen some amazing threads over the years on this city (definitely including this one) that cause me to ponder taking a random weekend trip.

This is gorgeous:

Always pushing above its weight. Nicely done Peg.

Winnipeg is a beautiful and vibrant city with great historic bones and an incredible arts scene. Thanks for those great Peg pics.

Winnipeg has gotta be one of the most underrated, under the radar cities in North America.

It's not without its problems, but the locals definitely seem to care. Fun and interesting things to do, things to see
Great set of photos!

This looks like pretty serious transit. A busway? Tell us about it!

And where's this? Who doesn't love a good naked sculpture garden?

Thanks for the questions.

Winnipeg has one 11km Bus Rapid Transit line as part of its transit network service, that photo is of the Osborne Station.

Leo Mol was a local artist well known for his bronze sculptures, he donated hundreds of his pieces of work to the City of Winnipeg. The Leo Mol sculpture garden opened in 1992, it exclusively and permanently showcases his work.

Hey wpg guy. Awesome photos. Thanks for keeping this thread alive. Quick question, what restaurant is that? The Tex mex looking place. With the nice stone fireplace.

Nice pictures! I actually want to visit Winnipeg some time, although it would be in the summer of course!

Is that the Human Rights museum in the 6th picture of the original post?

What is that Gateway to the Arctic building? Is that a visitor's center?

Although I have not been there, I recognize that as a building within Assiniboine Park Zoo's "Journey to Churchill" exhibit complex. Inside, it has acrylic tunnels that view the underwater habitats for polar bears and seals, as well as a theater for viewing a short video about the Arctic.
