1 New York Plaza

1 New York Plaza is a 640 ft (195 m) 50 floor tall skyscraper in Lower Manhattan and is southernmost of all Manhattan skyscrapers. Construction started in 1967 and it was completed in 1969

Ive always hated this building, ruined the skyline view from Brooklyn.

This building has quite a history. It had a nasty fire in August 1970, which was one of several which led to reforms in the NYC building codes. In 2001, it suffered an accidental explosion in its basement, shortly after 9/11.
