I can't even remember the figure I heard of for 2015. It's usually low by American standards, but was abnormally high in 2015 here because of the 130 people killed on the nov. 13 attack. Was that a friday 13? Frankly, only the stupid superstitious radical Muslims still think it's either good or bad luck.

Lots of (sometimes violent) muggings and dirty stinky pickpockets here, because of local poverty, but they hardly go up to murdering, thankfully.

Toronto up to 15 this year. February had half as many as January, but it's still an uncommonly bad start.

Most Canadian Gun owners have long Guns I think. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong).

I think that this is factually wrong. Lots of Canadians own guns. You just probably don't know them. I know of lots of hunters around the Québec City area. In Calgary, it is the same. The difference is that Canadians don't own handguns (very much) and really do use guns for hunting.

For the Record, Québec City and Levis are both at 0 murders for 2016 (as of Feb. 1).
Yeah I guess thats true but we still have way less Crime than the US so thats good Yay for Canada!

El Salvador's record-high murder rate is actually still increasing, with 1,380 murders reported in 2016 by February 29:

Fin de semana dejó 50 homicidios y van 1,380 este año

Weekends are regularly seeing 50+ murders. At this pace, the country would end up with a murder rate of around 135 per 100,000.
