Is Liverpool somewhat similar to Manchester, in terms of culture and architecture? Never been to Liverpool, but been to Manchester a few times, and this gives me the same general feel.

Is Liverpool worth visiting, as a tourist?

Only a personal opinion. Kind of similar except Liverpool is hilly, and has a tidal river. Personally, I think Liverpool just about beats Manchester for architecture, and it`s all close together. I think Manchester is the more cosmopolitan of the two. I would definitely pay Liverpool a visit if you get the chance.

I like your seemingly easy, careless and comfortable way to shoot people with your cam.
People are your main photo subjects, aren't they? But I don't think I could do it.

Who knows? On a bad-luck day in Paris, some grumpy people may mug you and ruin your gear 'cause they'd feel like you're an intruder in their privacy, or you'd take them in picture like animals in a zoo, then they would feel offended.

Nevertheless, public realm belongs to everybody and you are absolutely entitled to take in picture anything there.
I guess some savages forget about that basic rule.

I just think pointing your lens at buildings or streetscape is much easier and somehow more relevant than at people over here.

^ Nicer? Yeah, quite possibly. I'll admit there's sometimes some subtle gentleness and class to the British people.
Although it depends on what French town or particular neighborhood we'd talk about. Some are friendly and wouldn't mind too much either.

But yeah, Parisians in general (as well as the Lyonnais in my own experience) are often a fussy people. What I like about ourselves, though, is our spontaneity and sometimes incongruous honesty, should it be brutal and bring about clashes, including between ourselves.
