Well one of those is Whole Foods, so I can't imagine it doing anywhere soon. And also you got the Roxy and on it's block some, what I think are, pretty successful shops. I don't think that block is going to be affected by Streets of Buckhead development... but Novare did have plans to reconstruct at least part of the block (or build on top of it) two condo towers. But that was a while ago.

I still find the location of this building to be somewhat strange. Sure, it's on West Paces Ferry. But there's a Johnny Rockets across the street, for Heaven's sake. It hardly emanates the "upscale luxury" that St. Regis is going for.

The area is a fierce mix of extreme upscale and then regular stuff like Johnny Rockets. Give it time and it will balance out. I mean they are putting an Oscar de la Renta a couple blocks down... I'd say the area is at least getting there.

It's looking really nice! I didn't know it was this far along already, I haven't heard all that much about it.

I can't believe Starwood is building a St. Regis in Buckhead. What a nice way to dilute the brand.

It would seem that Starwood has quite a bit more faith in Atlanta than they do in Philadelphia. Not only are the condos at the St. Regis basically sold out, they also have faith enough in this market to have four W's here - more than any city other than New York.

Why don't you enlighten us as to what area of Philadelphia your St. Regis is in.

I don't see how Buckhead isn't fit for a hotel of St. Regis's caliber.

Opening of The St. Regis Atlanta

I went to the opening of the St. Regis today. The hotel is really beautiful and very well done.

I took some photos of a finished condo at the St. Regis. Stunning! Check it out.
