Was by here awhile ago, busy site including two drills working away now.

It'll be interesting looking at Canada's two nicest towers a block away from each other.

At least its two nicest over 200 meters

Looks like they may have started digging today. Could have just been dirt from the drills though. However, I think it's safe to say this one is UC now.

They're covering the facade in LEDs? And they say they want to make it energy efficient? Wat? o.o

It's clad in glass, any energy efficiency is a suggestion in this climate.

Probably the best tower ever to rise in Calgary. Very exciting.

Yes world class. Nice to have a Bjarke Ingles project in Calgary! Along with other architectural greats who have designed for Calgary like Sir Norman Foster, Santiago Calatrava, Craig Dykers (Snøhetta), our very own Jeremy Sturgess. With this kind of line up we can hopefully draw other like Zaha Hadid or Jean Nouvel in the future.

Well a couple of people in the planning department have told me "there's so much more planned" after I was talking about all the international/famous architects designing stuff here, so that is a good sign I think

So.. Now that it's U/C, what are everyone's projections on:

1) When the site excavation will be done
2) When we'll see a crane up and running
3) When we'll start to see it rise above grade

?

It's not a large footprint so I'll say:
#1&2 - July 1st
#3 - Feb 1st 2016

Just for fun
