Good job, nimbys! Once park land is gone, it's gone forever.

Agreed. . There will never be enough park space. You can always tear down a strip center to build a Stadium. If they had built the stadium in the park for a minimum of our lifetimes we would loose on valuable park land. As the city grows parkland will be the most precious part of this city. Agreed however that they need to change the park space by getting rid of some of those baseball fields. Baseball really isn't the sport for Austin. Heck make them a quidditch pitch and I wouldn't be surprised if they get used more often lol.

Yeah, nerdy sports have gained in popularity and macho sports seem to have waned a bit. I'm all for it. Throw a frisbee or fly a kite. But you need park space to do it.

Its my understanding that you can't just hop on any of those ball fields and just start playing, or can you?

Awesome pics! Thank you! I live about 5 minutes from both of these and have never seen them from above. The Dell Diamond is a beautiful ball park. Kalahari is going to be a game changer for Round Rock. I'm looking forward to checking out their restaurants when they open. Next to the Dell Diamond is a Salt Lick BBQ and next to that is the new Nolan Ryan Butcher Shop. Got some unbelievable 1 3/4 inch steaks there and some other goodies. Its pretty cool what's going on in that area.

Nice. The Domain needs a point tower of significant design. The "skyline" over there is starting to look like Ayers Rock.

Uluru is beautiful in it's own right though. Plus Australian seem to like Austin so maybe it will make them feel less homesick.

Wow, that thing is going to be so so huge.

There’s construction fencing all along Parmer which blocks any actual street view of excavations. Hard to tell from day to day what’s actually happening back there.

Its was interesting to see the Domain "skyline" in that video. I mean, it appears to actually have one.

Looking at our skyline now, I feel like this forum WILLED this to happen.

It exceeds my wildest dreams. I honesty felt I would have to move away one day to experience “city life”. Now, I’ll never leave.

Gobsmacked.

^^ If only our influence on such things were that significant... That would be awesome.

But, I agree - it's amazing to see the transformation since Frost Bank was built to now.
