I'll be thoroughly underwhelmed/disappointed with this building unless there's some surprisingly cool lighting. Right now, it feels very bland and corporate.

At 446' it's a perfect building for skyline massing

Are you suggesting that taller wouldn't have been better in that spot? It's prime, up-front real estate and our skyline would look much better with something taller there IMO. Or even just something with personality.

I think it's a very good height for that lot. Maybe up to around 510' or so could have been better but that area of Downtown seems better for larger and shorter buildings

personally taller is better but the reality is a glass 446' that lacks any unique qualities...a perfect massing tower for a blossoming skyline

And mountains. I hate me a short mountain. It would be nothing more than a hill.
I see no point making suggestive remarks about the design right now, what's done is done, but if I did....I would have suggested they shit can the ridiculous bump out and convert that extra square footage into additional floors. Just like several other buildings including the Frost, this one is simply 10 floors short of a homerun. Damn all these hills.

this building serves a purpose, that purpose is density and massing, job well done

The glass is definitely darker than its neighbor. I was driving down S. Lamar earlier and could see that the building is darker where it wasn't reflecting.

So, now that this one is pretty much complete, what do y'all think? Would the original residential plans have been a better fit? Anyone still upset by the loss of Sullivan's?

Here's those 2016-era residential plans, for reference.

Personally, I think it's pretty good. I like the darker glass, and it's a solid height for the area. Some of the best hidden parking in the city, too. The extra height on the residential proposal would have been nice, but we're getting so many ~500' residential towers in the pipeline that it would arguably stand out less.

It adds a nice touch to the Colorado glass canyon, perfect fit
