I’ve heard that they are being removed at least partially for security purposes(they block the view of cameras, I guess). The trees are supposedly going to be replaced with smaller trees that are native to the area.

Really looking forward to seeing the Midtown skyline after Midtown Union and 1105 W. Peachtree are finished. If only that gorgeous Cousins proposal would come to fruition (and Opus).

The Cousins proposal, the apartment tower by the recently finished Hanover, and then the Toll Brothers stacked box proposal will hopefully all start early next year.

Sorry to hear this. Those rows of trees are really pretty in that part of midtown.

I hope it's not the trees fronting Peachtree...

It's not, it's just the ones in the park itself where the seating is.

Wishful thinking. I feel like the other ones are almost guaranteed to happen, but that's just a feeling.

The Mark is now up to the 18th floor. With 10 more floors to go I'm assuming it should have a decent presence in the skyline.

1105's office tower is moving fast. Already halfway done with the second floor.

Can't wait for Midtown Union to get going and see those new tower cranes in the skyline.

It’s an Embassy Suites. 6-7 stories at street level and about 150 rooms, I believe.

Embassy Suites

Atlantic Station Dual Brand Hotel

For reference, this project sits across 17th Street on the north side where there's the last "hole" of develop-able frontage along 17th.
