Planning permits were relatively quiet over the holidays, but there were a few hints on some new projects.
Along the Beltline Eastside trail in Virginia Highland (on the other side from Home Depot), a
rezoning permit was filed for 675 Drewry St NE. Currently there are some small industrial buildings on the site. " The proposed project is a mid-rise, for sale condominium development along the beltline in Virginia-Highland. The project includes approximately 55,000 SF of multi-family for sale residential uses with no commercial uses included. The building is designed to accommodate 5 1/2 floors of residential over 2 levels of the parking structure. Rezoning from I-1 to MRC-3."
At 508 Boulevard Place (between Boulevard and Glen Iris) a
rezoning permit was filed for a 0.872-acre assemblage of property from R-5/Beltline Overlay to MR-4B/Beltline Overlay. This would allow for townhouses.
Permit filed at 450 Bishop St NW to convert the existing warehouse into a mixed use building. This is a fairly large building right next to the new-ish apartment complexes on Bishop, behind Target at Atlantic Station. This
first came up way back in 2016.
