It has been awhile since my husband (Mark) did his last drone flight over the MLS Stadium. Very nice progress has been made since the last flight! The drone flight was around 7:20 pm 6/25/2020.

Here is the link to the video/pictures arranged with folders by flight date:

Yeah this thing is looking huge and imposing from a bunch of different angles. Impossible to not notice.

I'm surprised we haven't heard of the corporate sponsor for the stadium by now. Cybertruck Field anyone?

Me too. As it gleams, it's not hard for me to envision the Apple logo on each roof section.

Apple Field anyone? We could call it "the Orchard" since the team has a tree for a logo after all.

I think the stadium sponsor probably wants to wait to get a bigger splash about the news.

When would that be? It’s not like there are any sports going on right now.

I have heard that Austin FC has turned down at least one stadium sponsor offer because it was not enough $. Apparently they are holding out for the big bucks.

^^^Back in January, when I went to the Austin FC Experience to purchase season tickets, I was told that there have been several inquiries regarding the naming rights to the stadium. And, yes...the numbers were a bit low for their liking.

Just an FYI, season ticket sales have basically sold this stadium out for 2021. There will be extremely few (if any) GA tickets available for each game next year. "Premium seats" make up the majority of the overall seating.

75% of the seats are general or supporters, not premium. They’ve said that many times.

Yes, I have been told that they are almost sold out of premium seats but have not begun selling GA seats yet. They are obligated to offer a certain amount of free and discounted GA seats each game under the lease agreement with the City.

That’s true. Also “general” seating and “general admission” seating are not the same thing. More than half the stadium is “general” but all the seats are assigned.

They are completely sold out of "premium" season tickets for 2021 and some for 2022 (as the Field Seats and Suites require at least a two-year commitment). They have moved into selling "supporters" (standing only) sections seats now and then will move to "general" season ticket sales "soon," I was told.

The "Premium" seats are:
-Suites
-Lower West section 108 to Lower West section 118 (including all West Club and Field Seats) -Premium Terrace
-Lower East section 128 to Lower East section 137 (including all East Club seats)
-West Loge
-East Loge
-Porch Loge

That's more than ⅔ of the stadium's seating capacity (I don't have the exact number - but, it's around 14,000 or so)! And, they are all sold.

The "Supporters" seats are:
-the entire south grandstand - sections 101-105. This is standing room only and can be folded underneath the surface level revealing a stage for concerts & other performances or shows.

The "General" seats are (I believe - since they are still finalizing things):
-East Terrace seats (sections 228-236)
-North End seats (sections 119-127)
-South West Corner seats (sections 106 & 107)

Within the "General" area will be the contractually agreed upon seating described above - 1,000 seats (if I remember correctly).

Just to jump in - the supporters section will be general admission in that there are no assigned spots, however there will be rails with "lockdown seats". It's going to be whats referred to as a safe standing section.

I think you could technically try to quietly enjoy the game from a seated position in the middle of the supporters section, you'd just be staring at the backs of the people in front of you.

I have tickets in a different section, but that's my understanding of the supporters section arrangement.

They are selling season ticket packages to the "Supporters" section as we speak. It's not all GA.
