Seasteading Contest Results

I GUESS this is the right forum for it.

Anyway, I dont know if you guys ever heard about the Seasteading Institute.

Well, these guys basically projected a sea plataform which they have in mind for colonization of the ocean... imagine 21st century palafites

If they are realistic about it or not, if their idea is good or not, I will let you decide, through their site http://seasteading.org/

But what got me interested about it was the Contest they organized, for architects, 3D artists, etc.

Basically, they had the PLATAFORM... an engineering project. But they lacked the "architect/artist" vision of WHAT do to with the plataform, and since they are small, they organized a contest with prizes to get some architectural projects to use as portfolio of their plataform structure.

The results are very interesting. Here are some...

Title: Rendering Freedom
Function: City
by Anthony Ling (Personality Winner) (hey, this guy is from Porto Alegre )

Wow. I'm in agreement; the winner is absolutely awful, especially compared to the competition.
