The Lloyd Center team already has 21 (?) acres to work with; I'd be surprised if they want to deal with more.

Although the master planning of the huge Regal parking lot site should work closely with the planning being done by ZGF.

Assuming the City planning commission needs to sign off on both big sites, close coordination may be required of both.

Fingers crossed for a 225' mixed use tower with ground floor retail and lots of housing!

He had made dozens (hundred?) of offending posts while here, including several that week. Both Iain and I have tried to steer him in a positive direction through DMs, for years frankly, and it was apparent he wasn't going to adjust his comments to be a contributer rater than a distractor. Modding the forum for at least the past decade, this is only the second time someone has been banned, and I'm not sure the first, "UrbanPDX" or something like that, wasn't also him in a earlier profile.

If you look at it this way, if each block is built to max height or close to it, then we would see a Lloyd District that looks more bulky since these buildings would be close in size to existing buildings there. Though I wouldn't be surprised to see a few buildings that are close to max height with the rest being 5-7 stories tall.

For reference, the Lloyd Center Tower is 290' tall and the tallest building in Oregon west of the Willamette. Having several buildings at 225' will look dense for this area.

Former Sears at Lloyd Center for sale amid bankruptcy proceedings

A vacant former Sears at Portland’s Lloyd Center mall is up for sale following a bankruptcy filing.

An affiliate of Cypress Equities, the Texas company that owned the mall until late 2021 and still owns the Sears store, hired a real estate company to sell the nearly 143,000 square-foot property. The affiliate filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in December with more than $10 million in liabilities, court documents show.

Hilco Real Estate, the firm hired to sell the four-story anchor store on the eastern side of the mall at 1260 N.E. Lloyd Center is soliciting bids for an April 17 deadline. Bidders must prequalify in order to participate in an online auction on April 24.

Jamie Coté, vice president of real estate at Hilco, said there’s no starting bid price for the property. It also comes with rights to an adjacent parking lot with space for 275 cars.
...continues at the Oregonian.

I just assumed the Sears building was owned by the owners of the mall.

We had that discussion a little while ago regarding the cluster**** that is the mall. I just assumed it was figured out since they have the proposal now. How does this tie into that?
