This is turning out pretty nice, love the brick. This area will look drastically different with Symphony Square next door.

Velocity should be ashamed of themselves abusing a downtown city property in this way.

Enjoy this view of Indeed while you can. It will soon be blocked by the Hyatt Centric and then Symphony Square.

Yeah, the Alexan Waterloo is a nice project and all. But I wish I could control their webcam and pan left to view all the Symphony Square Tower and Brackenridge Campus Demo as well as the U/C Block 164 tower.

I always wished it had a better view of the Dorsey.

Ha. Me too. It has a horrible view of the Alexan because it's too close. The webcam location could be better used for other projects.

I think they should have a partnership with SSP folks to allow movement of construction cams. Only seems like the right thing to do.

I drove by this yesterday. It is a beautiful building. Loved the glass color.

can someone explain why they built this one backwards? the plain/ugly side is facing the highway where everyone can see it. And its best side is just going to get blocked by symphony square.

So the residents can get a nice view of downtown instead of the highway? The folks riding the elevators won't mind not having a view of I35.

Unfortunately, I just think that this is destined to be the ugly part of downtown.
What a total waste of Waterloo Park! It could have been so nice. But even then, there's the unattractiveness of the Capitol parking lots, and State office buildings aren't known for their beauty.

Also there's still another lot in between that side of the Alexan and the highway...who's to say something won't be built there eventually.

If 35 is cut and capped all those frontage road buildings become much much more buildable..
