WTF is with the "ribbon of doom" in that first picture?? Crazy shit, I've never seen a funnel form that way.

Don't take this the wrong way, but your videos don't really show anything. Neat pics though.

I think the ribbon of doom is a crack in the car windshield. Unless you are referring to something else.

The rotation is more visible in the larger size videos, but they definitely don't do justice to what I actually experienced out there. The third video looks like a touchdown to me, but this is also the first time I've ever seen anything like this in real life. The drive back to the city was even more crazy with the hail storm, a second funnel forming to the side of the highway, and clouds as green as peas. I never understood what people meant by green clouds until Monday. I always wanted to see a funnel cloud (from a safe distance), but I never want to experience a day like Monday again.

Now that you say that, that's exactly what it is. Having one in my own vehicle right now I totally recognize it.

It looked like a sideways funnel or something at first glance. Whoops.
