No sorry. When I started the thread, my intention was to focus on the cool contemporary designed houses going in to replace the original modest homes. There aren't as many faux Tudor-Cape Cod-Georgian-French Provincial etc. infills as in other areas.
However, I might as well include everything of interest in Parkhill in this thread, and the old school turned into condos is one of my favourites of the neighbourhood.
I'll take pictures of the Southern Alberta Pioneers log cabin, Princess Oblensky Park, the Parkhill school, and more new houses next time I'm at home and out for a walk.

The old white house on the corner has gone. With unobstructed views south and west from the top of the Elbow valley escarpment, it will be interesting to see what gets built here.

This house seems to be stalled.

.did the stucco on many of them homes. I did all most if not all of the cement pools in the area as well. I did the ceo of Shaw. His home was built by his great grandfather who drowned on the titanic. The home recently had a total make over. It was modeled after the ship itself in honours him. My cousins wife is a master wood crafter and did all of the wood workings. it has the main lobby of the ship with the glass ceiling and the double stairwell with the bar and rooms on the second level. i did the pool and the interior plastering in that room, including the waterproofing. What an amazing home. The media room cost 3 million and includes a thx theatre screen. The screen is full size, like the ones at the silver city. And a wine room, all the wines are remote controlled to present them using speech tech. The computer uses what appeared to be more than 50 high power servers. Let’s just say, he has the most powerful home computer known to mankind haha. She was paid over 6 million for the wood work in the place. She finally got the lambo she always wanted

Yes you're right, that is THE Shaw house, but there are more Shaws. The brother to the cable TV company owns Shaw Pipe, plus there is Shaw GMC.
It sounded like he was talking about an older Mount Royal house.

I thought that this house was Jim Shaw's house.

Yes. Whiteford said the house was built by a great grandfather so it can't be the Crescent Heights house or the cable TV Shaws who came from Ontario and then Edmonton. They aren't from Calgary originally, so I don't know who or what he is talking about, but like I said, Shaw is a common name.
I am quite sure there is no Shaw house in Parkhill so none of this is relevant to this thread.

I bet the people in the bungalows across the street hate waking up to look at that mansion.

I'm with Jimby, if it ain't in Parkhill, it don't belong in this thread.
