Gotta Get Costco Card (relocation speculation)

Scania sent the kids to the basement to play.

No parents allowed!

ATL3k never responded to my question about it being an American based company. It's hard to find large U.S. corps that don't already have a presence here.

It is US based, but will not be an HQ relocation.

The least you could do is give us some breadcrumbs to the answer, National Treasure style.

Can you tell us how much square feet they're looking for?

We're building a pro baseball stadium downtown - just north of the GWCC campus -and the tampa bay rays are moving here? We're joining NYC, La, Chicago and SF as 2 team MLB towns?? and of course, a heavy rail will be built connecting downtown past the stadium up northside drive to 75.

Don't forget water is being diverted to turn 75 into a water feature with driving lanes underneath.

Prediction: Walmart, the world's largest company, opens regional headquarters in Atlanta, GA, moving 2500 IT and marketing jobs from Bentonville, AK to midtown Atlanta. Walmart, looking to become more competitive with the likes of Amazon and Kroger, establishes a backoffice operations center in Midtown after years of facing headwinds in recruiting IT and creative professionals to their Bentonville Arkansas headquarters.

Wasn't there some speculation about Kimberly Clark restructuring and possibly relocating their headquarters? That may be just idle chit chat.

It’s not a HQ, move.

Is this the news? It seems like a downsizing from 105K -> 42K SF.

IIRC in the correspondence between A3000 and the reporter breaking the story, it was described in career-making terms, so I can't imagine that would be the story.

That was for the Amazon announcement... Not the one that was supposed to come out today/tomorrow.

Hopefully, if in fact there is an amazon-Atlanta leak, it does not ruin any chance of Gwinnett voting to put transit on the ballot in November. That will be voted on tomorrow.

Remember the story could be delayed until tomorrow, which it's looking like now.

I think I need to manage some expectations here. I'm familiar with the reporter who 3000 is referring.

If it's the story I'm aware of, it's cool, but it's no Amazon HQ2 leak. Hate to disappoint the peanut gallery.

Well then, what's this "cool story" that you're aware of ? We'll settle for that.

It's totally about HQ2!!!....

just kidding. I'm gonna let him drop it. I respect our info relationship. And as most journos will say, it's not a story until it actually prints.
