Think of busines as a cross between a race and a dance...

.... okay now think of government as a deaf one legged mule. Yeah it can get things done, but it won't be efficient or effective.

For the few government responsibilities which can't be taken over by more efficient operations than we the users and taxpayers must accept what government offers and keep in mind that that service if being run by a retarded mule.

With that said .. when government wants to build a building it should completely leave it in the hands of private entreprise in the form of a P3.

Note that the Charleswood Parkway and Bridge came in on budget and on schedule... and it was a private developement. The developer charges the city a lease rate in return for building the roadway.

It was the first bridge which can in on time and budget in decades. In comparison the Norwood Bridge ended up being over $150M over budget and behind schedule ... I believe some beauracrat mentioned something about some form of excuse...blah blah blah. Infact once the whole project was complete and numbers were released it ended up being even worse.

prominent Graham Mall business has more than doubled their retail space. Pictures, Frames & More moved next door to 414 Graham Avenue, trading in their old location for a new 5,850 square foot, fully-renovated space. Their old space will soon be a $5/$10/$15/$20 store, with a variety of general merchandise to pique your interest.

-another discount store...perfect!

^Nice, you have to love the fact that it doesn't look like the avarage Winnipeg building - concrete, tyndal stone, panelling and windows.

Yeah .. I miss your photo postings.

You'll have alot of fun getting pics of this one, am I sure. The best thing is the weather has turned for the better.

Does this mean the clading will be gray with black trim?? I like it .. its much more modern than the way over used teal facing that so many buildings seem to get. Gives it a very distingished look. Hopfully Portage Place is taking note and will modernize there building as well.
