Does anyone know how the elevators would work for dancing towers, when they bend up towards the top?

Why the mods choose to put on the thread title the "roof" heights?

Tower | Height to top of facade | Height to last floor | Floors | Use
1 | 350.8m | 340.8m | 79 | Office
2 | 305.2m | 291.6m | 65 | Residential
3 | 250.6m | 238.3m | 52 | Use

... or it is the usual SSP way of doing business. Phhh...

These are embarrassingly ugly buildings, like the kid in architecture studio who always had the wild ass ideas that werent practical in any way.

Thats why they're built in Dubai: the world's garbage pit for architecture.

Actually, I have to admit Dubai has a lot of buildings that look good and to me these are some of those that look good.

The elevators go straight up no mater the shape of the building and it seems like Dubai has a LONGGGG way to go before it looks like in the renderings.

I am not a Dubai hater, there are amazing things being done there, but these buildings are basically a bad experiment. Ugly nonsense. Horrible. A bad joke. Please dont build these, and those other silly cloud buildings, and the rotating thing.....awful....

The Cloud (although not economically reasonable) has a nice design. Towers like these look good since they are in the center of an area. They wouldn't be building them if it was an experiment since there are way more important things than building for fun.

A child in a studio? That's awesome, they have the most creativity, and they are good inspirational source. Although I doubt a kid would come up with the idea of twisting towers specially with such a hard design.

The Cloud is Diller + Scofidio's Blur Building on stilts. Theirs was actually executed, though.

"Dancing" towers? ...Are threesomes even legal in Dubai?

The Cloud was some guy's poking fun and laughing his a$$ off to all you Dubai bashers/hatters.

As for the Dancing Tower, those are designed by non other but ZAHA HADID herself, not some school-kid you'd think.

Shouldn't architecture invoke some kind of emotion. Like it or not, but if it moves you in some direction then it has done it's job. You can't call it a bad design, you can only say that it doesn't fit your taste in buildings. Dubai has many styles and if many of these buildings were in your cities I don't think that you'd be so negitive about the architecture. It's only my take on it and shouldn't have to be yours.

Why was he laughing his "a$$" off? He didn't make any money. Even in giving it the benefit of the doubt as being a conceptual piece, it still was super derivative.

I don't like the design, kids should be restricted from looking at it because of the x-rated configuration lol.

It was someone's joke, not a proposal.
