Great to see funding for renovations to the Saskatchewan Science Centre. The bathrooms definitely need an overhaul.

That is great news! I love the Science Center but it’s pretty much the exact same today as it was when I was a kid 30 years ago.

Looking forward to the Globe Theatre renovations and restoration. On a side note, I am still hoping the city will replace ALL of the Scarth Street brick. Looks so bad and it definitely needs more tree cells and flower planters.

It is pathetic, and embarrassing. I have said it several times, but the city should never have proceeded with the City Square Plaza until they replaced the downtown sidewalks, and re-did the pavers on the Scarth Street Mall. (yeah, I know it's the Frederick W. Hill Mall, but I could care less).

I agree. That scarth streeth between 11th and 12th is a bloody eyesore and an embarrassment for the capital city of Saskatchewan.

I hope with the new Winter City plan, maybe they will start using spaces again like the FW stretch. Downtown is mostly just a big parking lot, but this is a great stretch when you have city workers downtown in non-covid times.

A grand, classic light up marquee sign and awning is my dream for the Globe renovations. So many theatres of Regina’s past had these.

Very clever -- I had to look at this carefully before realising it's downtown Regina.

Hehe. The Chicago sign I liked the best because of the red.

I imagine it would say Globe instead? That would be fantastic.

That would be wonderful. I was trying to figure out why the new signs at the casino were so blah compared to the old ones. Aside from the classic look that suits the building, there was more dimension and movement in the old one which is something I love. It feels more engaging.

LOL @ 'new' signs at the casino! What a joke. So out of place on a historic property.

Casino Regina's motto might as well be 'Taking even more of your money for the provincial coffers, without giving you any fun'

Yeah, the previous Casino Regina signs with the flashing bulbs and the style was way more in line with the historical design and class. Disappointment regarding the new ones. Cheap.
