Not a big deal at all, but this is mainly of interest to Winnipeg folks, so it would help to know that before opening it. No offense intended

And unless you give us a hint as to where this event is...how are we to know how to get there?

This could have been Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Brandon...who knows.

Has it ever been called "the District" (capital D) before this poster?

For those who are complaining about there being no "Winnipeg" mentioned in this thread are you guys really serious???

If you can't figure out that the Exchange District is in Winnipeg along with the bands being from Winnipeg then there's a serious problem there....... either you haven't lived in Winnipeg long enough to realize that or your history on landmark sites within cities is lacking a bit!

Does anyone know where Gas Town is? Stampede Park?

Come’ on if your going to criticizes/comment on someone’s thread please make it worth their while.

The guy was trying to do something nice....

1ajs, I realize you were trying to be helpful. No offense intended.

The original post by me was simply a request (not a criticism), as the topic has limited interest for those outside Winnipeg, especially as far afield as Regina and Saskatoon. It is common practice on lists shared by various cities, that if a post is city specific, to indicate this. I do appreciate that the poster was doing a public service, and was never intending to be critical. BTW, the post title does not say "Exchange District". It says "District". If it did say "Exchange District", yes, I likely would have guessed Winnipeg.

I know, they changed their sound and are "heavier" now. If that means anything. I was equally surprised to know that Econoline Crush was still around.
