Wouldn't it be great if Pootkau came back?

I find myself checking the Wpg threads less often lately, for the simple reason
there's way too much off topic discussion.

Being from Regina, I have not been following the Wpg threads lately since the exciting projects like IGF, CMHR and Hydro have all been completed. I am not all that interested in the latest restaurant to open or apartment building going up, but I would be if I lived there. So Winnipeg, time for some new exciting projects to capture our imagination!

I remember when I would be lurking for an hour a day. Now it's probably 20mins a week. Very boring city.

So you`re saying a new tallest is not exciting (canada 44th tallest proposal) or the convention centre expansion (going to be fourth largest in Canada) also the new journey to churchill exhibition in Assiboine Park.Don`t forget about Centreport.

Lurkers should register with the Forum Police.

Excitement! you say, it was very exciting here around noon time yesterday, but that only happens on April Fools Day. No one was serious, just kidding with each other, were you fellas???

We're all waiting for Summer (even Spring) to start, then watch are dust. Spring is going to start this weekend and we can start talking about flooding and things. Everyone got the list of web cams along the Red River? List them, if you got them.

Anyone else out there for ROLL CALL?

Well, Regina has had its fair share of flat spots as well ---- especially between 1988-2000. For 1996, I believe there was something like only 75 dwelling starts for the entire year. During 2013, there were about 60 starts per week!

How times change.

I still lurk but try to post when I can. I still come to the MB/SK forum much more than any other on SSP, even though Winnipeg wasn't my first (or 2nd, or 3rd, or 4th etc...) home in Canada.

I just love seeing Winnipeg grow and develop. Theres so many things I love about the city. Plus my sports teams are Winnipeg based; I will always be a hardcore Jets & Bombers fan. So that adds to my interest in keeping up to date with the city, even though I don't live there anymore. I am just fascinated with Winnipeg development, more so than other cities for some reason.

I also enjoy seeing what's up with SK cities, which forever reason I find interesting. Nice to see them boom like they are now. Though I lurk more than prior.

Not sure if you follow the Regina and Saskatoon threads, but we have similar large (not as large) projects like SkyCity that have very pretty renders but never seem to get off the ground.

I'm practicing 'active listening'.
