Whenever I drive around in Fargo (184,000) and then drive in Regina a few weeks later your city always seems so much bigger.
Would Fargo seeming so much smaller be because the actual city of Fargo (as opposed to the metro area) is only 90,000 or so?

Fargo is just too suburban. I'm sure Fargo has a nice downtown and interesting nooks and crannies of its own, but Regina just felt a little more urban.

Take from that what you will.

Which one looks more urban to you? Both cities are roughly the same size, but are completely different in character.

Fargo , North Dakota

Regina, Saskatchewan

You have a number of impressive highrises, arts, culture.

I wouldn't worry about the 250,000 mark. Coming from a much larger city I was fooled.

Your football team could use a little work. *cough* cough * (Go Bombers!)

All in all, Keep up the good work Regina!
Holy Smokes, Fargo has 184,000? Does that include Moorhead in that number?

You betcha..

I think that number does include Moorhead. But it would be silly not to include Moorhead, that would be like not including Hull when counting Ottawa's population.

That's what happens when you have a socialist government headquartered in your city...

BTW, Saskatoon has more highrises, they are all just butt ugly.

Regina would likely have a greater population if it weren't for the giant car-fall-into-never-to-be-seen-again potholes.

Typical. Chaps makes valid points and squashes what little argument you did have and that is all you can come back with. Like I said earlier, very reminicent of Rosie O'Donnell

OK, Mr. Limbaugh

Obviously, you don't think politicians should be held accountable for their vision or that anyone should be held to goals in that vision. So, why waste my tax dollars on developing one ? If it is so useless, Why make a big deal about ? Like having a ceremony and posting on your website ?
For years this was being promoted by Fiaccoists as the future of Regina under Pat's dubious leadership, now that most of the goals have failed or are on track to fail. Tell me, what measuring stick should we be using to judge the effectiveness of our Mayor and council ? Media coverage ? Booster campaigns? Child poverty ? Violent crime ?

and stop using Gormley's O'Donnell shtick show some originality.

First of all I dont' listen to Gormley....and second of all, using Rosie O'Donnell as a comparison to someone (ie YOU) is hardly difficult to come up with. Your daily spewing and blabbering about bullshit is very similar to her's hence the comparison. That said, other than the population, please provide me with some evidence of goals that have been set out by Fiacco that haven't been met or are not on the path of being achieved. Pretty much every day you make shit up to try and make Fiacco look bad when all its doing is giving your namesake a bad name......eh Quimby????

And like I and others have been saying on here for weeks, if you don't like the way this city is being run then feel free to run for mayor and get your ass handed to you like that last guy.

Jesus Christ Quimby, if you don't like this city move the fuck out of it. Day after day you have nothing positive to add other than bending over and inserting your head up your own ass. But then again your so fucking dumb that you probably enjoy the warmth.

So, you must watch "The View"

The problem is that you can not say anything positive about the "Vision for Regina" or how far along toward those goals, the city has come.
Name calling makes you look bad, that and your aggressiveness, you seem to be in need of some anger management.

And who in the bloody hell do you think you are telling me that I can't say anything positive about the "Vision of Regina". Let me dumb it down for you so you can understand......I live a VERY prosperous life in a beautiful house with a great job that I can easily afford......My nieces and nephews can play out in the yard and in the parks without worrying about something bad happening. Regina has EVERYTHING going for it and I am more than proud to say I wanna spend the rest of my life living here. Could there be improvements in some areas???? sure just like there can be improvements in every city on earth. There is nothing about this city that makes me want to whine, bitch, moan, cry, and complain like you do on a daily basis but thats obviously all you got in your repetoire.

Any why doesn't it surprise me that you'd whine about the renovations and expansion of our exhibition grounds that brings in millions of dollars into the city each and every year. I bet you'd be more pleased with giving lazy and willingly unemployeed people more handouts.

This is post outlines the epitome of Fiaccoists, unbashedly greedy and have fooled themselves into believing they did everything for themselves. These people are the leaders of the city's intolerance movement and the foundation of the flight of over half the people migrating. It is this attitude that holds Regina back, not a to9lerant attitude and a critical eye. Yes, we have better things to spend our money on then the Ex.
