Mayhem the Moderator is out .

Will the other projects in 12th and Midtown have the same webcams as 1010?

I became a mod a few weeks ago I guess. So be on your best behavior

I don't see any reason why they wouldn't use the one site cam for the whole project unless they move it over to 1010 when it's completed.

Also, there is only one more floor to pour before they start work on the actual tower!

1010 will rise to be visible from Piedmont park, nice. You can see the white crane already

I believe that is the crane for Luxe. You will though be able to see 1010 from this vantage point.

If all the projects in the area get built, it may feel more like Central Park than Piedmont Park...

Yes, 1010 is to the left of the building on the far left, but 12th & Midtown will eventually block the view of the building on the far left. If we are lucky the building formerly known as the MO will still be built and there will be no mistaking that building as it will be just to the right of the building on the far left.

FYI, building on far left = Pinnacle

Not to be too picky, but the Pinnacle is actually in Buckhead - it's the building with the curved cantilever glass top across Lenox Rd. from the mall. The building on the far left of that picture is 1100 Peachtree.

Nah, because it will only be on one side (the west) and the zoning requires them to step up in height, so the tallest that will be on the park is four floors. Clearly a far cry from the wall of urbanism surrounding Central Park.

But I know what you're getting at

I love how the project fills out the block and hugs the street in a manner that will support urban retail. But the muffin top they're putting on the corner of Peachtree and 11th looks odd in the renderings.

GThomas, looks good but a work of caution! I was attempting to shoot 1010 from the sidewalk along 11th street last weekend and a security guard stopped me and said i could not take photos from FRB property even though i was photographing the building across the street, 1010. I told him i was on a public sidewalk which police had informed me was OK for picture taking. FRB security said i would have to stand in the street to be out of their 'jurisdiction'. I shoot the same view as yours across the FRB lawn as well and that too in now 'off limits' or so i'm told. I am attempting to get clearance from FRB law enforcement but no one there will return my calls. The guard did give me a name to contact at FRB at least. Just be aware the FRB has cameras all over the place watching everyone so shoot and move along quickly. I am honestly beginning to feel like a 'photographic terrorist' every time i take a picture from a sidewalk or in front of a building!

Wow. I was actually eyed pretty hard by a guard because I had my pup with me, which was walking on the FRB grass. I guess he had stopped paying attention once I started snapping shots. I actually was on the lawn on a concrete structure at some point, so thanks for the info!
