^ biggest take-away from the article is that there will indeed be 6 different shades of glass. Once and for all hopefully settling that debate.

I'm curious how ice will collect on the small set backs on the window system.. Is this something that they generally have to test when going for approvals?

I think "Vista’s developers have remained tight-lipped about the situation saying everything is exactly on schedule." is mainly to comfort those who have already sunk 7 (some 8) digits into this project. I don't doubt they can still finish the building in time, but I would imagine there have been a lot of logistical hurdles to overcome and I wish I could hear about them.

Nice to get "six distinct shades of glass" in writing!

Finally, anybody else check curbed all the time but somehow miss every new article? I'm always finding out about new posts from the forums or reddit, ha.

So I know this is splitting hairs but is the 1,194' and 1,198' drawing that was just posted referring to two different elevations?

If so, 1,198 is the official height, right?

1198 is the official height. It was listed in the Trib at this height when the blow-through floor was added months ago.

I get what you are saying, but they are just measuring the height based off how the CTBUH measure these things. Trump will still look much bigger from most angles as well, so I'm not gonna be upset over the difference in a few feet.

I wonder how they are shipping the window frame sections if they are not able to keep up with manufacturing. Airfreight would be super expensive so maybe still by ship to west coast dock and truck to site location??

From what I know, the frames are being manufactured and assembled in Missouri.

^Great shots! I was purposely ignoring this theead for the last few days to improve my wow factor from the gass progress. WOW. Is there anything else like it in the world, with 6 distinct colors in the facade?

Anyone know the floor count thus far? Looks like there are at roughly at around floor #81, according to my quick count. Crazy to think there's about 20 more floors to go (if my count is accurate)

I have a feeling this glass is hard to install and it does look superb. I wonder why they have several panels with the wrong color? Place holders due to a cracked piece? Anyway I think the whole thing will turn out better than any of us even thought possible

I have asked that same question in this thread before, either broken panels or arrived faulty.

Additionally, they are now installing bare window frames (without glass) on the south sheer wall. Anybody know why?

Each panel has multiple panes of glass. Often it's only the outside pane that has any color. When the outside pane of glass breaks they still install the panel. That's why you see several panels with the wrong color. They will be replaced later. It seems to happen on most projects with a glass facade.
