I haven't been in this area, but i am planning to take some photos around the area if I get to Berlin in the summer around Tuchollaplatz. I also plan to visit some of the other sites around Berlin of buildings from around the 1920s period!

See the links below for Victoriastadt!

Grumpy, that last photo of the railway is it the U-bahn U1? Do you know where exactly it is? Looks like Gleisdreieck area?

Close to the Möckernbrücke where 3 U-bahn lines meet , right after the Deutsches Technikmuseum

The same spot today , the station in the background is Möckernbrücke:

Thanks for the reply, but I was not meaning the outdoor area, but the interior of the airport. This is a beautiful open area and was open to the travelling public. I hope they don't close off that open space or even worse, build it out of the redevelopment designs.

Ok, you mean the terminal building?

Is Tempelhof still open and when does it close if it is still open? I guess we can still go in and take photographs if it is still open?

Well for starters I like BLN a lot for several reasons like it is a huge compilation of villages , a huge historical past , an important city for public transportation and I have visited it many times in terms of decades. My first visit was back in the seventies my last one two years ago.
I have felt the city changing in matter of speaking but it still hasn't lost its old day charm of urban chaos.
Going to any other german city is like going to a wasteland comparing it to Berlin and I am not exaggerating at all.
There is always something going on , not in large scale or in height but it certainly lives but in other terms than what we are use to.
This city is uncompairable imo.

There is no english talking thread to be found outside this one on the whole internet so I really like to post and share it here

Hines Mitte Alexanderplatz!

The Hines Building on the Alex is going up fast, official website says building will be completed by spring 2009, other websites however have reported it will be completed by end of 2008?

This building will be of enormous importance for the Alex especially as it will close off the vast desolate area of the North -East of the Alex!

nice photos

The Nordbahnhof area is a real special one , lots of space left for new developments.
With a special tram intersection as well where a new line isn't even connected to an existing one.
