Your user name, in all honesty, is ridiculous.
You got it all wrong. That's just means they are comfortable with the city the way it is, and if some see it as lame, then keep it lame.

Also, having a little fun with a city that loves to give itself slogans.

my wife and i just moved into our new house...and we don't have cable. but we bought a new HDTV and plugged in the rabbit ears and - voila - we have crystal clear HDTV for free. So, I don't know about the towers, but whatever they're doing is certainly "seamless".

Awesome pic! Vidorra stands out a lot in that location.
That area east of 37 and downtown (where the picture is taken from) is so ripe for urban development.

I really hope this made the Arts and Entertainment District and not the at&t center area as well as along Commerce which seems to be the first choice for the city.

Vidorra and Vistana

Vistana only gots two more floors to go before work on the tower starts.
The tower will be at the corner of Commerce and Santa Rosa, I really think
that there should also me another tower at Houston street and Santa Rosa.
The people at the Vistana would make more money on another penthouse to sell.

The Vistana has more floors then the Santa Rosa Hospital, but it still hasn't passed up in height.

As far as the Vidorra goes, its looks good when your close by, but from Alamo Stadium, its harely noticeable, and looks small. To bad the plan didn't stay to make the Vidorra 25 floors.
I'm on the Vidorra email list, and they have officially topped out. Crane will come down in mid June.

It looks really good if you look west on Commerce, almost like the emily morgan hotel on Houston.

I know its supposed to be two towers, but the design is different in the two pictures.

My bad. I shoulda known the cardinal rule of San Antonio high rises: If it's insanely tall/awesome, build it in Houston.
