Doesn't the contractor have to bring a HydroVac truck in when they are done and suck out all the catch basins and leads in the area to restore them to pre construction conditions?

Gee, so his Dad was right all along ...

Ya probably. They did Higgins last year and it looked like a war zone over there all year.

Does it seem dark in their for office space? I think it could have used a few more skylights, but overall it looks fantastic inside.

I like the dark theme, it’s a Winnipeg specialty in my eyes

You can tell 546 designed it because they put in the same hybrid filing cabinets/chairs as TFNP, which are awful at being both things lol.

Is that office space being used right now or was it staged for the Mayor's visit? I didn't know anyone was occupying the building yet?

Same here (Richardson). They get the job done, it's really nice to have a handy extra seat at your desk.

I think everyone should probably take 6 university credits worth of "learning how taking less money from citiizens helps the economy". It seems we need to double down on a basic lesson.

It's not about scamming money into rich people's pockets, it's about unscamming the money out of the government's pockets. You, whether rich or poor, earned it.

I'm obviously not an advocate of no tax... but less? Absolutely.

This province has been conditioned to think that we need the government like we need a loaded set of parents, and suddenly we're happy with our taxes.

From PC acquaintances who know the Pallister family (and are pissed with him for refusing to communicate with anyone), his goals seem to be pretty straightforward. He's a small-government conservative who believes gov't shouldn't "interfere" (which is why he refuses to communicate with even his own colleagues and other political levels). Austerity is the way you accomplish the goal of shrinking gov't. Starve every dept until they collapse and/or must privatise.

I don't believe he's that complicated of a guy. Gov't = bad, everything should be market-driven.
That part can't be stressed enough. I don't think everyone realises how much of an obstacle rather than asset the government is to getting things done.

Hell, ask any businessman/woman.

^ you were saying about small government, and lack of interference...

Manitoba may create new board that could override Winnipeg land-use decisions

I am sure this will only help to make the development process more streamlined...(sarcasm).

It's funny because it's sad.

Geez, wolf your reasoning is way off. The problem with the orchestral shell was reportably 5 years old. You can't hold someone responsible for a problem that doesn't exist yet. Anyways it seems the PCs are living up to their equal responsibility, which the NDP were apparently incapable of in this case. Good thing I never vote for them. Hopefully over, because you're way out.
