Now that you mention it, is there a single condo building connected to the skywalk system? There are several apartment buildings I can think of, but not one condo building comes to mind.

Nope, not one. I can imagine it would raise many logistical issues that a condo board wouldn't be equipped to deal with such as knowledge and expertise on maintenance of their portion of the sky walk.

Would it not be maintained just like any other part of the building? Then they would need to fund 1/3 of the cost for any connections to other buildings. SkyCity was going to be the first.

Why only 1/3? wouldn't they at least be responsible for half with the owner of the connecting building paying the other half?

^ I doubt it would be that complicated... it would just cost money to build, operate and maintain. That would be the challenge. It would have to be a fairly sizeable condo building to pull something like that off... there won't be any wood-frame four storey condos built into the skywalk system.

I think when sky city is completed it’s going to be connected.

When the skywalk goes over a roadway, it is split between the City and the building owners. Each pay 1/3 of the maintenance costs from my understanding.

When it's completely inside the buildings, I have no idea if the owners are compensated at all by the City. I would think not.

I didn't know that, that would make it much more palatable for any condo that was going up adjacent to the Sky walk system.

Progress has been steady this winter and we are working hard on completing the building. In the meantime, we are pleased to show you some of the work we’ve done, and the people responsible for it!

Looks like piling rigs are slowly demobilizing from site at Sutton Place. Lots of caisson have been installed over the last couple months. Still one drill rig and the blue crane working. but the only other rig looks like it's being de-mob'd from site.

I would think excavation and shoring install would be coming up quick. Looks like all the piles are in around the site perimeter.
